History
Blast formed mid 2001 with the three ex-members of Lamiel, Yuina, Iori and Hiderou. After the release of [Kurutta Kajitsu] Hibiki, who was their support drummer till then, joined as fixed member.
As for now Blast are taking a break in their activities. How long this stop will last or if the band members will appear in other projects is not known.
Iori has turned up in a band called Siva.

Sound
Blast's sound has undergone an audible change on their newest release [Akai Ryouike]. Having a rather funky undertone before, accentuated by quite unusual and interesting beats, which sometimes remind even of ska beats, their atmosphere has become darker, the funky aspect disappearing. But nonetheless, Blast is a band worth trying and listening to, no matter which style you prefer. Their sound is still unmistakeable Blast, especially because of Yuina's unusual voice and Iori's unique way of playing the guitar.
